I write now to tell you everything I know about milk glass lamps. These lamps come from a bygone era – but they are still popular with some who like to devote a room or their whole home to antique styling. Milk glass lamps are opaque, thanks to the thick, white glass that makes up some or the whole of the given lamp.

Some milk glass lamps have just the “milk glass” in the base. Other milk glass lamps have it just in the lampshade, but many feature milk glass in both the base and the lampshade.

As with many items for the home, antique milk glass lamps will cost more than modern day reproductions. Both antique and reproduction milk glass lamps can be found online, if you do a little digging.

I really like milk glass for its simplicity. It can be used well in modern spaces so long as only a few pieces are on display. But it's always been a favorite of mine.
