Bankers lamps are nice, and give the look that makes one seem professional. They shine on the papers – and other business items – upon which one is looking, and not in your eyes. The green glass on such a lamp is opaque – blocking light. The one drawback about a bankers lamp shade is that – due to its glass construction – it can break, if you knock over the lamp, or drop something on it. Thus, the need for one to seek a replacement bankers lamp shade.

Obviously, this is not an everyday item, and some who seek it out may just decide to buy a new bankers lamp, rather than a replacement lamp shade. That said, there are places that will sell you a bankers lamp shade by itself. Still, these are few. I will suggest three strategies.

How to Buy a Replacement Bankers Lamp Shade

Your lamp's glass is broken, but do not fret. I have three strategies to suggest to you. The first is the offline strategy. Many locales – especially college towns, in my experience – have shops which amount – essentially – to junk stores. Seek one out in your community. If you have a couple of these shops around you, I think it realistic you will find at one of them an old bankers lamp from which you could remove the glass shade and place onto your lamp.

Don't like that idea?

Try this. Lamp stores – retail stores that specialize in selling lamps – usually carry shades. From time-to-time, any lamp seller is going to receive calls regarding the purchase of replacement bankers lamp shades. Make yourself one of those callers. I am sure this will lead you to a new bankers lamp shade.

That idea not right for you?

After some digging, I did find that Amazon sells replacement bankers lamp shades, so purchasing one from Amazon is strategy three.
