HubScore 100

I CAN DO IT! SO CAN YOU!

This will be my hub dedicated to achieving a HubScore of 100.  I believe there are benefits -- personal, and for other hubbers -- to acheiving and maintaining the highest of HubScores.

Here, I will give my reasons and ask you about yours, as well as blog my experiences before and after reaching 100.

Most of all, I will celebrate 100!

You Can Do It!

Can You -- Personally -- Reach 100 for HubScore?

My Thoughts about a HubScore of 100

  • It means more traffic for the hubber who has 100.
  • More traffic means more fans, poll votes, comments, etc.
  • Some of this traffic increase will be people just coming to HubPages for the first time, as those who reach 100 are the first under the Hubbers link on the Home page.
  • More of the type of traffic mentioned above means more AdSense clicks.
  • If you achieve 100, you are truly an asset to the HubPages community, providing value to people's lives.

I want to say right here and now, a HubScore of 100 cannot be "gamed". Don't look on this hub for some easy ticket.

My intent is to follow in the steps of the likes of Maggie Ruud, and Patty Inglish.  I want to be the best hubber I can be, and make a living at it!

I believe that all starts with a HubScore of 100.

Interestingly, since I have published this hub earlier today, my HubScore has dropped a little.

I'm sure it is because this Hub is a little on the short side. Surely, my HubScore will rise, and I will make 100 sooner or later. I look forward to it.

I have published two new hubs -- one in response to a request -- today, and my HubScore is moving upwards.

(I think maybe that's a clue to how this thingy works.)

November 22, 2008

I just looked and found my HubScore jumped two points to 95.  Woohoo!

I have published no hubs today.  I have just made a couple comments, read a few hubs, and posted a reply in forums.

Perhaps, there is a lesson here.

One motivating factor for reaching a high HubScore is making the home page as a featured hubber.  Being there has surely got to increase a hubber's traffic -- including traffic that clicks Adsense ads.

We shall see.

This week, I am focused on other ventures not related to HubPages, so I do not expect my HubScore to climb any.  It may even slip a little.

I may have time to publish a hub or two tomorrow.  I hope so.  Hubbing is a lot of fun!

December 5, 2008

This week, I have been thinking and not acting.  I'm not sure how I feel about that.

As a result, I have not published a new hub all week.  Still, thanks to hubtivity like forum participation, my HubScore has held between 90 and 95 all week.

With this, my intention is to publish no hubs until my HubScore reaches 100, thanks to hubtivity.  We shall see.

December 8, 2008

I take back what I wrote on Dec. 5.  Ha ha!

Not publishing hubs is no fun.  I am here to write and publish, so that is what I shall do, in addition to my other hubtivity.

I know I will reach 100 soon enough.

You're at 91 today! That's how it looks from Tennessee anyway.

And I am quite pleased, compu-smart. :-D

Say, when I have 500 hubs like you, may I come to the UK for a pint with you?

Ha, that was quite entertaining to read. I'm kind of a late commenter. Did you ever reach your goal?

Liked it.

I had a high hub score of 88 and a hub karma of 92. Both have slipped and I've been writing some good articles -- I think.

You start off real slow and grow quickly until you get to about 85. Then, the task of getting to 100 seems impossible.

How do these people with way less articles and many more months get to 100?

After 7 weeks, I have $4.27 in my Adsense account. Guess I'll have to wait a lot longer for this to grow.
