A perusal of a popular plumbing supply site shows that bathroom sink drains have all manner of permeation. There are more drain styles than you might imagine. Most interesting to me is the number of metals in which they come.

There is chrome, satin nickel, antique copper, antique brass, polished brass, polished nickel, satin chrome, polished copper, pewter, oil-rubbed bronze, black nickel, polished gold, satin brass, and satin gold. Between the colors and the sizes, a plumbing supply company must keep thousands of items numbers on hand.

That said, as you shop for bathroom sink drains online, be sure to remember that you need to know your drain size. This is a measurement of the width of the drain hole in the bottom of your sink. Know this when you shop, and you will be a happy drain shopper.
